An ordinary doorbell or smoke alarm only works if you can hear it. If you have hearing loss, or sleep deeply, it can fail when it matters most. A carer is left at the door, or nobody wakes to the smoke alarm.

The Bellman Visit range adds a second signal. Small senders pick up the doorbell or smoke alarm. Receivers pass it on to you as a loud sound, a bright flash, or a shaking pad under your pillow.

Which Bellman product should I start with?
Start with whatever keeps the person safest at night. For most households that is the smoke alarm pack or the safe package, because a fire is the alert that cannot be missed. The doorbell pack is the next most common, and every piece works together, so more can be added later.
Do Bellman products work with each other?
Yes. They are all part of Bellman’s Visit system, so a doorbell button, smoke alarms, and receivers can be paired together. One receiver can show several different alerts, and extra receivers can be added in other rooms.
Can the NDIS or a Home Care Package pay for audio visual aids?
Often, yes. Alerting equipment for hearing loss is commonly funded under the NDIS, Support at Home or a Home Care Package, and DVA. Tell us which funding you hold and we will set out the quote in the format your plan manager or case manager needs.
Do I need a report from an audiologist?
It helps, but you don’t always need one. If the NDIS, a Home Care Package, or DVA is paying, you may be asked for one. It can come from an audiologist or an occupational therapist. If you are paying yourself, you don’t need one.
