Commercial fitouts built aroundhow people move.

Offices, clinics, and shared amenities — designed, documented, and built by a team that has spent years making spaces work for the people who find them hardest to use.

What the commercialteam takes on.

Six kinds of work, from a single set of amenities through to a whole floor. The same trades that have been doing this in homes, working at commercial scale.

  • Office fitouts

A new tenancy taken from bare shell to finished floor — partitions, joinery, services coordination, flooring, and making good.

  • Office refurbishments

An existing workplace brought up to date without moving out of it. Work is staged around your trading hours so the business keeps running.

  • Medical and allied health fitouts

Consult rooms, treatment spaces, and waiting areas, built to the layout and finishes your practice needs.

  • Accessibility upgrades

Ramps, handrails, wider doorways, level thresholds, and contrast at steps — retrofitted into buildings that were not designed for them.

  • Bathrooms and amenities

Staff and customer washrooms, accessible cubicles, and end-of-trip facilities. The work this company has done in homes for years.

  • Commercial flooring

Vinyl, carpet tile, and hard flooring specified for traffic and for grip, with level junctions where floor types meet.

The part most fitout companiesleave until last.

Access is not a finishing touch. Where the accessible washroom goes, how wide the corridors are, and whether a doorway can take a wheelchair are decisions that shape a floor plan — and they are extremely expensive to revisit once the partitions are up.

Commercial premises in Australia carry access obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act, and the National Construction Code sets out what that means in practice for doorways, circulation space, sanitary facilities, and handrails. Your building surveyor determines what applies to your particular project. Our part is to design and build with those requirements in the room from the first sketch, rather than discovering them at inspection.

This is the work Vital Ease already does. Grab rails that hold, thresholds with no lip, contrast where a step edge needs to be seen — done for years in people’s homes, for people who notice immediately when it is wrong.

Most disputes on a fitout trace back to something that was never drawn. We document the layout, the finishes, and the services before anyone lifts a tool, so what you approve is what gets built and what you are quoted covers it.

The drafting side of this is not new either — Vital Ease already prepares measured drawings and specifications for occupational therapists and builders. The same people do it here, at a commercial scale.

How a commercial projectruns with us.

  1. Site visit

We walk the space with you, at no charge, and get clear on how it has to work, what it has to cost, and when you need it back.

  2. Layout and finishes

Drawings and a finishes schedule you can actually review, with access requirements built into the layout rather than added later.

  3. Fixed-price quote

One written price against the documented scope, with the staging set out, so you know what happens in which week.

  4. Build and handover

One point of contact for the whole build, and a walk-through at the end where anything outstanding gets listed and closed out.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a fitout and a refurbishment?
A fitout takes an empty or stripped tenancy and builds it into a working space. A refurbishment updates somewhere you already occupy, which means staging the work around your trading hours and keeping the space safe and usable while it happens.
How do you price commercial work?
We visit the site at no charge, then document the scope and quote a fixed price against it. The quote follows the drawings, so there is a written record of exactly what is included before anything is committed.
Do we need our own designer, or can you do the drawings?
We can prepare the drawings. Vital Ease already produces measured drawings and specifications for occupational therapists and builders, and the same team documents commercial layouts. If you have an architect or designer already, we build to their documentation.
What access requirements apply to a commercial fitout?
Commercial premises carry obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act, and the National Construction Code sets the detail — doorway widths, circulation space, sanitary facilities, and handrails among them. What applies to your project is determined by your building surveyor. We design and build with those requirements accounted for from the start.
